Townhaus Collective - Complete Story

Step inside SoShiro Gallery this festive season and visitors will be surprised and delighted to find the Marylebone townhouse has returned to its original form as an elegant family home… but with a joyful difference.

Each covetable item in the five-storey Georgian house will be for sale – from the designer sofas and stylish furniture to the collectible artwork and exquisitely handcrafted pieces – creating Townhaus Collective at SoShiro – a breath-takingly beautiful immersive retail and culinary experience.

Thoughtfully curated and dressed by stylist Jennifer Schneider, the space will offer a selection of useful and beautiful items from the best of UK-based artists, craftspeople, and designers all perfectly arranged in a vibrant, colourful and contemporary festive at-home setting.

In addition, Chefs in Residence sees Michelin-starred chefs from some of the world’s hottest restaurants offering a series of unique and intimate fine dining experiences.

SoShiro founder Shiro Muchiri, and Jennifer’s shared vision for Townhaus Collective centres on conscious consumption, sharing distinctive hand-made pieces in a meaningful and enriching way.

“We want to encourage a slower pace to the festive shopping experience, where gift ideas are presented in a more interesting and interactive way, where guests can see how these special pieces can actually be used and admired in an at-home environment,” said gallery owner Shiro Muchiri.

“Visitors to SoShiro will feel like they have stumbled upon a real home at Christmas time when the family may be out visiting relatives or perhaps on holiday, and everything is precisely as it was left,” said Shiro. “As guests journey through each floor they will be inspired by the most cheerful festive décor, beautiful furniture and art as well as perfect gift ideas and even festive attire.”

The space will also feature handcrafted backgammon boards by Alexandra Llewellyn, mahogany and lacquer drinks cabinets by Ahu Studio, hand-turned wooden furniture and objects by Forge Creative, and woollen throws and homewares by architect John Pawson. Collectible homewares from SoShiro’s own Pok and Ainu collections will also be available.

Dating Introductions: The Escape Room – a fun take on date night where individuals can discover more about each other and their compatibility with an astrologer, whilst solving a murder mystery as they journey through the townhouse.
